A small family electrical company
BRIGHTEN
Powering homes. Protecting families.
A small family electrical company.
We treat every panel, every wire, every fixture as if it lived behind our own walls.
Six things we are very good at.
We do not pretend to do everything. The list below is what we have done a few thousand times, and what we will quote you for tomorrow.
- 01
Panel Upgrades
Move from 100 to 200 amps without losing a weekend. Code-compliant service entrance, new meter base, modern breakers, clean labeling.
- 02
Whole-Home Rewiring
Knob-and-tube, aluminum branch, brittle insulation. We pull new copper through old walls with minimal patching and a written warranty.
- 03
Lighting Design
Layered ambient, task, and accent. Dimming that actually dims. Trim that disappears into the ceiling. Light you feel before you notice.
- 04
EV Charger Installation
Level 2 chargers wired on a dedicated 240V circuit. Load calculation, permit, install, and a tidy run from panel to garage. One visit.
- 05
Safety Inspections
Pre-purchase, post-storm, or just curious. We open the panel, walk the runs, test every device, and hand you a one-page report you can read.
- 06
Whole-Home Generators
Automatic standby units sized to your real load. Quiet, weather-rated, and tested twice a year so it works the one night you need it.
A small crew that answers its own phone.
We grew up in trade school under fathers and uncles who treated a clean wire run as a moral matter. We are still doing it that way.
-
Family run since 2010
A small crew that answers its own phone. The person who quotes the job is the person who shows up to do it.
-
Licensed, bonded, insured
Lic. #EC-48217. Workers compensation, general liability, and a written warranty on every install.
-
Cleaner than we found it
Drop cloths in every room. Wire ends labeled. Old fixtures hauled away. You should not be able to tell we were here, except that everything works.
Years powering Cleveland homes
Average rating across 300+ reviews
Panels, fixtures, and chargers installed
Four steps. Nothing weird.
Most jobs we have done a hundred times before. The shape of the work is very simple. Surprises are someone else’s problem.
- 01
Walk the house
We come out, you show us what is bothering you, we look at the panel, the attic, and the meter. Free, no pressure, takes thirty minutes.
- 02
Write the quote
Itemized by line. Materials and labor priced separately. No round numbers, no surprise add-ons, no fine print at the bottom.
- 03
Do the work
A two-person crew for most jobs. Power down only what we need, only when we need to. Permits pulled before we arrive, not after.
- 04
Hand it back clean
Final walkthrough with you. Every switch, every outlet, every fixture tested. Written warranty in your email by the time we leave the driveway.
Three of the kindest things anyone has said to us.
-
They found a 1972 splice in our attic that two other electricians had missed. Fixed it the same morning, rewrote the quote on the spot, charged us less than the original number. I do not know how to repay that kind of honesty.
-
Ken installed our generator in October. The first big snow hit two weeks later and the block lost power for sixteen hours. Ours never blinked. My mother-in-law was asleep upstairs on oxygen. Buy the generator.
-
I was the annoying client. Three change orders. New pendant after the drywall went back. They never sighed, never raised the price, never made me feel small for changing my mind. They just made it look easy.
A demonstration of light, electrical and otherwise.
Say hello.
The phone is the fastest. Ken picks up most days between seven and seven. Emails get answered the same evening.
